CO AND PACE SALONS’ BUSINESS RECOGNITION – BEST IN-SALON TRAINING AT 2022 AUSTRALIAN HAIR INDUSTRY AWARDS (AHIA) / BUSINESS STREAM AWARDS

 

Acclaimed Brisbane City Salon, Co and Pace Salons have been recognised for their outstanding salon training at the illustrious Australian Hair Industry Awards (AHIA) / Business Stream Awards, winning AHIA Best In-Salon Training 2022. Sunday, 9th October saw the Australian hair industry celebrate in-person at the gala evening (held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre), a night the hair industry’s big winners were named. Coming off the back of a difficult few years for salons around the country due to the impact of COVID, this was a chance to celebrate one another in-person as the industry looks ahead to exciting times.

 

Launched in 2011 by esteemed trade visionaries Mocha Group, the AHIA’s are the definitive, trusted, national awards’ platform which provides a benchmark of excellence across both business and creative streams, the business stream encompassing Australia’s leading hairdressers, salons, specialist enterprises, educators and professional products. Esteemed trade visionary, Linda Woodhead said of this year’s event: “Our 2022 awards have seen the largest amount of entries we have ever had, which is testament to the way the industry is pulling together and coming back post-COVID to be stronger than before. These awards are a chance for these important businesses in our local communities to shine a light on their achievements, and to celebrate our industry camaraderie face to face.”

 

Co and Pace Salons were very proud to be 2022 finalists in five exceptional categories, including Salon Team of the Year, Best In-Salon Training, State Salon Business of the Year QLD, Salon Manager / Co-ordinator of the Year (Jessica Bryers) and Business Director / Owner of the Year (Justin Pace).

The 2022 AHIA accolades come as a welcome reprieve after challenging years, with salons and hairdressers ready to look ahead and celebrate their achievements with one another. Held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, over 600 guests enjoyed a night of dinner, drinks and dancing. The highlight of the evening was the vibrant, action-packed dance and laser performance created and produced by the incredible multi-hyphenate Adam Williams. The stunning show brought burlesque into the now, drawing inspiration from the resurgence of Club-Kid culture, the heritage of Harlem Ballroom and the vivacious volume of authentic vogue.
