Congratulations to Justin Pace of Co and Pace Salons, who won the pinnacle title of Australian Hairdresser of the Year at this year’s Australian Hair Industry Awards (Creative). Justin took to the stage amidst smoke and sparklers to receive the final award of the night, speaking to his journey in hair that led him to this momentous award.

Justin won for his collection, titled Cymatic Queens, which is a group of images anchored in bold hair shapes and unique cuts, with asymmetrical styles, diverse textures, short crops and hair height inspiring editorially. Black and blonde hues showed off these cuts and styles at their trending, relevant and editorial best. Edgy black fashion styling in versatile textures and dark eye makeup set the scene.

I have been going to Co and Pace for a few years now. It’s a beautiful salon. All the staff are down to earth and friendly from Chloe on reception through to the apprentices and stylists and you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Justin Pace does my cut and colour and nails it every time. He really takes the time to understand your vision by listening/looking at pics and always manages to bring it to life. Justin is also really efficient and I can be in and out for foils/colour in just a few hours. My hair is the best it’s ever been since coming to this salon! Great hair and customer experience. Highly recommend.

Uuuuuuuu I was in a super big hate relationship with my hair before booking an appointment at this salon. I Disliked the colour and style. Wasn’t super pumped about having to head into the city for the appointment but I’m so glad I did. Best haircut I have had in years. I really love the shorter bob. The cut and styling was exceptional without making me look mummsy as some bobs do. Teamed with an exceptional colour I feel like it was worth every cent.

I absolutely adore my hair! I came in today for a cut and style with Bevan and he was super attentive, kind and he did an absolutely amazing job. I felt like he took the time to really listen to what I wanted. All the products they use are fantastic quality and smell amazing. He achieved exactly what I was looking for and gave me some tips and tricks on looking after my hair and styling it. I will absolutely be coming back. Absolutely thrilled!! First time visiting and everyone was so warm and welcoming. Bevan absolutely nailed my colour and was so informative throughout the entire process. The gorgeous girl who completed my cut absolutely nailed it (apologies for not remembering your name but you were fantastic). It’s so refreshing to walk into a space that is inclusive and not pretentious whilst still offering amazing service. Highly recommend 🙂

I have seen two senior stylists here, Jess and Justin M, and both have been fantastic. I hate styling my hair so need a cut that works with my hair and this is the only place that has actually given me that. Justin is also super relaxing.

I've been in Australia 2.5 years and it's taken me this long to find a hairdresser i can trust and want to see again. First impression is everything to me and Co and Pace definitely delivered a high quality service. I felt welcome and hands down for the amazing coffee (i am picky here) I feel like I got lucky on the first try. Justin really gave me the royal treatment and even if I didn't give him a challenge he made my hair looking absolutely flawless. The using of products and knowledge was just amazing. I am truly grateful that I've finally found my new salong and hairdresser I cant trust who knows what good quality is all about // Emma 🙂

Wonderful service from Wendy!She was very friendly and patient with all my needs.I've been to other salons where I was told my tough Asian hair is hard to deal with, but it's obviously not a problem with Wendy and Co & Pace's amazing team. Great vibe and environment there, you can tell that they aren't just specialist, but all perfectionist there.Great salon, would strongly recommend!

I have been seeing Justin McLachlan for over 10 yrs to cut my hair. He is an absolute master of his craft. I’m super fussy with my hair and there is no one else I would instil my trust in. I even travel an hour and a half to come and see him. Co and pace is a beautiful salon and the special treatment starts the second you walk through the door. Can’t recommend enough!!

What a lovely appointment! The atmosphere is welcoming and a real treat yourself space which adds to the fun. The staff are lovely and attentive and Bevan was so thorough; finding out what I wanted, what my hair issues are and then took time to educate me on how best to manage and maintain it.The service was excellent from start to end, I felt so glam after my cut and blow dry!Highly recommend this salon 😊

I saw Bevan for a colour correction ahead of my wedding after a few visits to different hair salons and not getting what I was asking for. I sat with Bevan for a consult and he ran me through the expected process and provided me with a realistic quote. Bevan really hit the mark and brought my hair as close as possible to my natural hair colour. I was blown away to finally have my hair natural again for my wedding day. Thank you Bevan, I felt so myself on my wedding day and my roots are growing out almost undetectable. I am so grateful and will see you again soon!

I had a wonderful experience at Co & Pace this afternoon! The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. My stylist, Bevan, was incredibly informative and took the time to discuss my hair goals with me.Bevan listened carefully to what I wanted for a haircut and offered some helpful suggestions and expertise. The final cut is exactly what I was hoping for, and it makes me feel fabulous!Overall, I would highly recommend Co & Pace to anyone looking for a positive and professional hair care experience. It was my first time visiting Co and Pace. The salon was recommended by my hairdresser in Sydney having just relocated to Brisbane.My appointment was for colour with Bevan and he was exceptional. My consultation was thorough and informative, and he was complimentary of the work from my previous hair dresser (I really appreciate when people in the same industry do not undermine or insult the work of others in that same industry).Results were great. I was very happy with how my colour turned out and felt it was value for money. It’s a high end salon but not stupidly priced.Product recommendations were given too which felt personalise to my hair goals.I’ve rebooked. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved my experience with Bevan! He really took the time to understand my (vague) vision for my hair and asked all the right questions to make sure the end result was EXACTLY what I had in mind! Salon was also beautiful, really high end finishes and products etc for a super luxurious (but friendly!) vibe. As always, I had a fantastic time at Co and Pace, and especially this most recent appointment with Bella was fabulous. I went in unsure as I was going for short 90s cut, which I have never tried before. Bella was so thoughtful in talking me through the vision and how she was going to achieve it and it came out better than I had imagined. I've been going to Co and Pace for a while now and have the most amazing experience every time I go. Charmayne and Bella are incredible and I've never had better hair in my life. All of the apprentices are so lovely and the salon has such a nice atmosphere and the fitout is so nice. I'd definitely recommend going and seeing Charmayne and Bella and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Brock Fleming was my colourist at Co and Pace Brisbane. I cannot speak highly enough of his skillset. Brock was a perfectionist when it came to colouring my very thick, long hair. His professionalism, client rapport and knowledge base was evident. I highly recommend Brock. Even having hair washed and scalp massaged was incredible and so relaxing. The offer of sparkling or still water shows the attention to detail Co and Pace cover. The high end salon experience was addictive!! I absolutely loved how my hair looked! Thank you Brock 😊🤎🤎

First time visiting a high-end salon like this. Had an amazing experience getting my hair bleached. I came in not knowing what to do. Bevan made some suggestions, and I went with the flow. Turned out better than I could of anticipated. Other staff were also engaging and helpful, which created a very comfortable environment. Thanks to Brock for helping with the toner and blow dry. Would recommend to anyone that is having doubts or unsure about what to do. These guys will have you sorted.
